Visa to Tajikistan

Tajikistan is very friendly towards ex-USSR neighbors and countries of CIS in general. The unlimited stay was put in for citizens of Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Russia.

90 days: Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine.

30 days: Uzbekistan

Duration: single-use, 45 days to enter the country, 90 days to stay.

Cost: $50 for the visa, $20 for the GBAO permit.

However, Tajikistan requires an E-Visa for every other passport holder. Citizens of the countries listed below can apply for it and you don’t need LOI:

Embassy visa: lasts for 30 days or 45 days, depending on your country, if it's not in the list of the 121.

For this, you can pre-upload your documents through the special site and make an application. For sticking a stamp in your passport you will have to visit the embassy on your own.

Visa upon arrival in the airports is available for these countries: All EU/EFTA states, Algeria, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Mongolia, Morocco, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, United States, Vatican City, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Yemen.

Its duration is 45 calendar days and the price stays $50.

Other types of visas: tourists from China and Hong-Kong meet consistent difficulties and many of them get rejected by the embassy or E-Visa site. 

OVIR is not needed if you have a tourist visa.
